Syberia 3 New Gameplay Video And Release Date Announced
-----------Since the release of Syberia 1 in 2002 and its sequel in 2004, the series has been considered a cult classics set of unsung heroes in the graphical adventure world that released during times when many have given up on this genre. A third game was announced in 2009, which began production in 2013 due to various issues. Now with a release date, Kate Walker will continue her adventure further as the developer Microids has promised.
Syberia 3 starts off with Kate Walker adrift on a makeshift craft. Fortunately for her, a caravan of Youkol people she encounters in the previous game finds her before her life slips away. Determined to escape their common enemies, Kate decides to help the nomads by fulfilling their oddest ancestral tradition, which is accompanying the snow ostriches to a holy steppes where they can reproduce. The journey then follows a scenery that's been turned enchanting and laid to waste, where Kate will experience the most dangerous and wonderful adventure, with pursuers right behind her.
Following the announcement of the game's release date, a video was released which contains gameplay footage and commentary from the developers on how Syberia 3 has received improvements to its aesthetics and mechanics since the previous title long ago.
On 1 April 2009, Microids have announced that Syberia 3 is being developed and aimed to hit PC and Playstation 3 in June 2010 as real-time 3D game. The company has then stated that the game will not reach its original 2010 release because of the negotiations with Benoit Sokal are underway for the takeover by Anuman. Another press release was issued on April 17th 2010, explaining that the PC version will still make it, but the PS3 version may not, due to problems with Sony.
Syberia 3 is published by Anuman interactive under Microids brand as the continuation of the Syberia series, which contain steampunk elements, followed by the adventures of American lawyer Kate Walker as she travels across Europe and Russia.
The Microids team have announced that the game will be out for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on December 1 2016.
