Star Wars Battlefront Death Star DLC Teaser Trailer Released

Star Wars Battlefront's next DLC add-on has been revealed by Electronic Arts, which takes players to the Death Star and contains new maps, new weapons, and may feature space battles.

Although some would say that Star Wars Battlefront got released with fewer modes, it's hard to say that developer DICE hasn't tried to boost it with new content.

This week, for example, developers unveiled plans for a new DLC add-on in September that's going to feature the Death Star. News of the Death Star DLC arrived via a Star Wars Celebration panel, in which small selection of in-development titles were teased by Electronic Arts. There was also talk about Visceral Games' new Star Wars title - the one directed by Amy Henning - but the main focus was this DLC, and for good reason.

Seems like a no-brainer that Star Wars Battlefront would feature one of the most iconic locations as DLC; actually, it's little surprising that it took almost one year for the game to target the Empire's super weapon. Nonetheless, the Death Star DLC is on its way and it'll show off couple of additional fan favorites as well.

Naturally, a new Star Wars Battlefront DLC release wouldn't be complete without adding new heroes/villains, and the Death Star DLC has quite the gift. Beside the Bounty Hunter Bossk, the upcoming add-on also features Chewbacca as a playable hero.

More news of new content couldn't have come at a better time either, as Star Wars Battlefront prepares to add an offline single player mode to its roster. Admittedly, it will be an AI engagement with bots, but it's a step in the right direction. Here's hoping that by the time Star Wars Battlefront 2 arrives, there will be a full campaign. If not, then some die-hard fans like Star Wars Episode 7's John Boyega are going to be very disappointed.
