Star Wars Battlefront Bespin DLC Gets Launch Trailer
-----------A trailer launched for Star Wars Battlefront's next DLC, Bespin, set in Cloud City, showing off new heroes, weapons, maps, as well as a new mode.
For owners of Star Wars Battlefront's season pass, the next DLC of the game entitled Bespin is few days away. Bespin arrives to Star Wars Battlefront for everyone on July 5, but fans who bought the season pass will be able to access it on June 21.
Five new multiplayer maps are added in Bespin, some from film history and others from the expanded universe. EA said that players will visit various locations from the movie, including the iconic white hallways, bridges and platforms of Cloud City. The pulled maps from The Empire Strikes Back movie include the Administrator's Palace and the Carbon-Freezing Chambers. One other map, called the Bioniip Laboratories, is taken from the now non-canonical Star Wars Legends.
Two new heroes will also be added in the Bespin DLC. The new Rebel hero will be Lando Calrissian, while the Imperial side receives the bounty hunter Dengar. A new vehicle, the classic orange double-seater Cloud Car is coming to the Battlefront sandbox.
New weapons included are the X8 Night Sniper blaster pistol, which boasts an enhanced scope with heat vision and the EE4 blaster, which is a close range, rapid fire weapon.
This is Star Wars Battlefront's second paid DLC after its first, Outer Rim. EA plans on releasing two more DLCs, with a total of eight heroes, four game modes, 16 maps, and 20 Star Cards. Besides this, EA plans to release a Star Wars Battlefront sequel next year.
This week at E3, a Star Wars Battlefront X-Wing VR Mission was also revealed by EA that puts players in the pilot seat of an X-Wing.
Bespin launches June 21 for season pass holders and July 5 for everyone else. Star Wars Battlefront is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
