Resident Evil 5 and Dead Rising 2 Coming to Steam
-----------Capcom announces the swith from Games For Windows Live to Steam for 2015.
Capcom community manager Brett Elston, announced on the Capcom Unity Blog that Resident Evil 5 and Dead Rising 2 will be transfered over to Steam. He also added that Dead Rising 2: Off The Record will also transition to Steam.
The transfers should be completed sometime in 2015, Capcom said.
"With the global popularity of the Steam platform, we’ve seen high demand from fans to bring these highly requested titles to this platform," Elston wrote.
"Moving to Steamworks will allow more fans across the world to enjoy these games."
Gamers who already own these games on PC will have them transition to Steam for free, though no details were revealed if the saved content will transition also.
"Once we have specific dates ironed out, we'll have more information about all three titles and their respective launch days so stay tuned," Elston added.
Microsoft's Games For Windows Live market was closed back in June 2013.
