Play Mirror's Edge Catalyst 5 Days Earlier

-----------
.....

EA announced it's upcoming game, Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be available to EA and Origin Access subscribers five days earlier.

Players will parkour their way through the dystopian city as the protagonist Faith, as she attempts to bring down corrupted corporations. Mirror's Edge Catalyst is a prequal to classic Mirror's Edge. Players have waited for years and people are eager to speed run their way through Faith's adventure in the new Mirror's Edge. Players will be happy to hear that they will be able to play the game five days earlier, as EA announced.

Players will be able to play the trial version of the game, which will come out Jun 2nd, as the full version will come out June 7. The trial will be active for six hours and the players must be Origin or EA Access subscribers in order to play it.

It is to be noted that EA Access and Origin subscriptions cost money and that EA Access isn't available on PS 4, so players on the Sony machine will miss out.

This trial should give Xbox One and PC players enough time to get used to the Catalyst's gameplay. There's also the fact that, unlike the first Mirror's Edge game, Catalyst completely removes gun combat and instead of that, Faith will deal with her enemies melee style, with knocking enemies off of rooftops, knocking them into one another and so on. This could come in handy for those looking for a quick getaway.

Catalyst will also introduce a "move unlock" system, only this time, Mirror's Edge Catalyst players will be able to unlock moves with XP and via a skill progression tree. Some fans are concerned that this move will make it a grind game, even though the developer DICE explained that this is so that players can master their melee skills. We hope that the trial could perhaps win doubters over.

Speaking of doubt, Mirror's Edge Catalyst has already been delayed twice. EA and DICE hope that this trial will put any concerns about the game's quality to rest.
