Persona 5 Gets New Cinematic Trailer
-----------The western release for Persona 5 is getting very close, and Atlus has released another trailer to keep expectation levels high for its stylish, crime-based JRPG.
Persona 5's delay in the west might have been unexpected. As it turns out, with early March being dominated by two high-profile released that have lived up to the hype in the incredible Horizon: Zero Dawn and the equally impressive Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there was every chance for Persona 5's previous mid-February release to have been overshadowed quickly. Instead, Atlus will be releasing Persona 5 on April 4, and meanwhile the game has been receiving a number of exciting trailers, including one that has just released today.
The video, which is a passionate traler that mostly shows off some of the game's English-dubbed cinematics, focuses heavily on some of the game's main characters. It also features a few looks at combat, however, and the amazingly beautiful in-game menus that have fans everywhere talking about Persona 5's art direction.
Amongst these looks at Persona 5 is also a glimpse into the title's mini-game offerings, which range from personal workouts, a batting cage, and even a video game. It's a welcoming look at a side of the game that wasn't showcased in the Persona 5 Velvet Room trailer, and the localization of the title's character voices and menus seems to be impeccable.
With almost a month left to go before Persona 5 finally comes to the west, it will be interesting to see how the game will be received by those who aren't as in tone with its beautiful and dark look at Japanese culture. For what it's worth, the game has been tremendously successful in Japan, and has been equally well-received by North American and European outlets that got a hands-on preview of the localized version of Persona 5.
Persona 5 will be available on April 4, 2017 for PS4 and PS3.
