No Man's Sky PC Version Suffering From Performance Issues

-----------
.....

The space-exploration epic from Hello Games, No Man's Sky has finally launched on PC, but many players report that the game is running poorly, even on high-end PCs.

After several years of development - and couple of unpleasant last-minute delays - the space-exploration epic from Hello Games, No Man's Sky has been finished and released to all PlayStation 4 and PC gamers.

Considering the game's ambition and its 18 quintillion planets, some issues on launch day were to be expected, to the point where a day one patch was necessary. Regardless of the various issues, the launch has generally been very successful on the PlayStation 4. As for the PC though, it seems that there are considerably more problems than simple frame rate drops.

Although the connection issues haven't caused too many trouble due to the use of a PC-specific server, many players have reported on Steam that some serious performance issues occurred on the PC version of No Man's Sky. In the one day since the game was launched for PC, gamers have been met with a wide range of problems - such as severe lagging, poor graphics, and continuous crashing - even for those running the game on a high-end PC.

Because of the game engine and complex algorithms used in No Man's Sky, detecting the cause of all these problems have been hard for PC owners, and it appears that going down to low or medium in the graphics settings only partially improves the game's performance. Couple of hours ago, a patch has already came out that addresses the generically low FPS issue, but there's still a lot of issues present according to the many Steam reviews. Regardless of the various technical issues, it's still early days for No Man's Sky and the window to repair these problems is still open.

No Man's Sky is currently available for PlayStation 4 and PC.
