Mirror's Edge Catalyst & Star Wars: Battlefront Will Be Free With EA/Origin Access Soon

-----------
.....

Electronic Arts has confirmed that Star Wars Battlefront, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, and EA Sports UFC 2 will all be added to the EA Access Vault at the end of the year.

Star Wars Battlefront, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, and EA Sports UFC 2 have all been released within the last year, so players who purchased the games earlier may be little angry that they're being added to the vault already. Nonetheless, this shouldn't come as a surprise to gamers, as EA has been constantly adding new games to EA Access Vault, sometimes just six months after the titles hit the store.

Right now, it may be more reasonable for someone that frequently buys EA games to get a EA Access subscription and stop buying the games as soon as they release. If someone were to buy Battlefront, the Mirror's Edge prequel, and EA Sports UFC 2 when they launch, that would run around $180, instead of the $30 a year fee to get access to all of the games before 2016 comes to a close.

The only downside to getting EA games through EA Access is that it's hard to say when exactly a game will be added. If someone bought into the significant Star Wars Battlefront hype last year, they might have found it impossible to wait for the game to be added to the service. Naturally, a possible solution for fans is to purchase EA games, and sell them afterwards once they become available through EA Access.

PC gamers subscribed to the same Origins Access service, meanwhile, don't seem to be getting an equivalent value. It's true that Origin Access subscribers are having a great time with many of the same perks as those that have EA Access on Xbox One, but it doesn't have that much games. In the time of writing, Battlefront, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, and EA Sports UFC 2 are only confirmed for the EA Access Vault, and there's no info on when the games will be making their way to Origins Access, if at all.
