Middle-earth: Shadow of War PC System Requirements Revealed

-----------
.....

Gamers can get a head start making sure their PC is up to the task for Middle-earth: Shadow of War when it launches this August thanks to the recently revealed PC requirements via Steam.

The upcoming sequel to Shadow of Mordor, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, isn't out until late summer but gamers can find out if their PC will be ready for battle right now thanks to the recently released PC system requirements.

The game's minimum and recommended system requirements were posted to the game's official Steam page this week alongside the Shadow of War reveal trailer.

Minimum system requirements

- OS: Windows 7 SP1 with Platform Update for Windows 7
- Processor: Intel i5-2550K 3.4 GHz
- Memory: 8GB RAM
- Graphics: GeForce GTX 670, Radeon HD 7950
- DirectX: Version 11
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 60GB available space

Recommended system requirements

- OS: Windows 10 version 14393.102 or higher required
- Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 3.4 GHz
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Graphics: GeForce GTX 970, GeForce GTX 1060, Radeon R9 290X, or Radeon RX 480
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 60GB available space

Although the required specs for Middle-earth: Shadow of War aren't too high, it looks like gamers still running a computer around the minimum level required for Shadow of Mordor will have to start upgrading if they aim for a decent gameplay experience.

Shadow of War requires 5 GB additional memory and a much better graphics card than its predecessor to even get to the start screen. At the high end, gamers will need to have a graphics card that's priced around $250 or more to get a smooth experience, although it's worth noting that prices could certainly change by the time August gets here.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is set to release on August 22, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
