Mass Effect: Andromeda Gameplay Reveals Next Month

-----------
.....

The first official gameplay footage from the highly anticipated Mass Effect: Andromeda will debut during The Game Awards, which will stream live on December 1st.

Even though BioWare's N7 Day reveal for Mass Effect: Andromeda was fruitful as far as story and gameplay details were concerned, it was decidedly lacking in one key area. Out of all footage that was shared around the internet, there was no actual gameplay of Mass Effect: Andromeda in action.

BioWare has plans to change that early next month, when Mass Effect: Andromeda will have its official gameplay reveal during The Game Awards 2016. It's not clear what the developer has prepared for the event, but the chances are BioWare will be bringing along at least a trailer.

What's interesting to note about the Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay tease is that The Game Awards have a new focus on highlighting gameplay over already-rendered trailers this year. Following the backslash over No Man's Sky, which was responsibility of the Game Awards producer Geoff Keighley, the show has a new focus on giving the viewers a taste of what each game will look and play like, rather than selling them an idea that may not exactly pan out in the future. Mass Effect: Andromeda, unlike No Man's Sky - which released two years the debut trailer, will come out in a few months.

Although BioWare didn't show any actual gameplay footage from Mass Effect: Andromeda, the studio has talked at length about what players can expect. It's known that biotic powers will return, and that players will have more freedom to play around with them. That's because Mass Effect: Andromeda doesn't have a class system, and will instead give players a series of progression trees they can pursue at will.

Loyalty missions and teammates are also returning for the sequel, which is not a surprise to true fans of the game. Both have become a part of Mass Effect's DNA, so it would be a surprise to see BioWare drop that altogether. The surprising fact about Mass Effect: Andromeda is that the teammates won't receive any harm, meaning there won't be any Kaiden/Ashley choices in the game.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will release on March 27th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
