Goku Black Comes to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Namco Bandai has released a trailer for Dragon Ball 2 which features Dragon Ball Super character Goku Black as a pre-order bonus for the new game.

Dragon Ball Super has yet to release out of Japan, but a new character that comes from the show will be able to be played by franchise fans in different regions than Japan in the fighting game that still has to release, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. AS it was revealed in the game's trailer, Goku Black, who is a bad guy and a very powerful character will come as a pre-order bonus in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 when it launches later this month.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2's new trailer shows gameplay footage of Goku Black kicking Super Saiyan God Vegeta back to his dead planet vegeta. Goku Black has a moveset similar to the original Goku, which can be seen in different Xenoverse 2 gameplay videos. There a few differences though, Goku Black's Kamehameha wave is imbued with a dark purple and black energy, opposed to the bright blue version that Goku and other characters unleash when performing.

The attacks Goku Black brings aside, his inclusion in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 confirms fan theories that the game is connected to Dragon Ball Super. In the anime Goku Black can travel through time using a time ring he stole from a Kai-Shin (God) he killed, and in the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 story, villains from other timelines are uniting to give Goku and Vegeta trouble. Goku Black's role in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is unknown, but there is a possibility that he is the one allowing the villains to travel through time.

Goku Black may not be usable by Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 players who won't pre-order the game, but there are a lot of other players available in the roster to choose from. With Goku Black, there are 68 fighters in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, with fan faves like Piccolo, Majin Vegeta, Trunks, Son Goku, Gohan and many more.

Dragon Ball fans will have the chance to fight one another with all those familiar characters and new faces, such as Goku Black, later this month.
