Friday the 13th Game Adds Jason 6 to Killer Roster

-----------
.....

Illfonic and Gun Media have officially announced that Jason Voorhees as portrayed in Friday the 13th, will be included in Part 6: Jason Lives in Friday the 13th: The Game.

As seen in the video from Gun Media below, Jason isn't only depicted in his outfit from the sixth installment in the film franchise, he's also shown as having a decently sized loadout of sharp weapons and supernatural powers. In the clip, he's got a machete on his hip, a spear in his hand, and a knife that can be thrown at his prey, and he also has the ability to teleport long distances to quickly catch whoever he's chasing.

Naturally, as seen in earlier kills from Jason in Friday the 13th: The Game, the monster has far more tools at his disposal.

Additionally, the clip below from Friday the 13th: The Game definitely appears to be from the title's Xbox One version, as the "RB" and "LT" prompts on-screen are signature buttons on the console controller from Microsoft. Many pieces of footage that were put out earlier for the upcoming horror release came from the game in its pre-alpha stage on the PC, so it's good to see that development is progressing along nicely on other versions from Friday the 13th: The Game as well.

The latest Friday the 13th: The Game trailer also briefly featured a snippet from the horror-punk band The Misfits' song "Friday the 13th" playing in the cabin of which Jason and the camp counselor pass by during their chase. As stated by Gun Media, the song from the group is officially a part of the game's soundtrack, and that fans will be able to buy the CD from The Misfits' website.

Taken all of this into consideration, it appears that Gun Media and Illfonic are going to do the Friday the 13th property as much justice as they can with the upcoming game. It's a safe bet that lots of fans are highly engaged with the title's production so far, with many considering Friday the 13th: The Game to be one of the most anticipated games of 2017. Hopefully, the developers will be able to provide a great experience for those who intersect on the Venn diagram between horror fans and gamers.

Friday the 13th: The Game is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
