Free-to-Play PES 2016 Coming This December
-----------An entry-level version of the game will be available for PS3 and PS4.
Konami today announced a free-to-play edition of its soccer game PES 2016, for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The free-to-play edition is launching on December 8. Konami didn't reveal the Xbox consoles release date.
It's described as an "entry-level version" of the game, featuring Exhibition Mode with seven teams, including Bayern Munich, Juventus, AS Roma, Brazil, and France (the other two were not named). The game also comes with a Training mode and MyClub support. In addition, it supports online and offline play.
MyClub appears to be the hub of Konami's free-to-play plan, with players available to pick via "points acquired through success in matches or with MyClub coins," according to a company statement.
Konami also says the free-to-play version of PES 2016 will get "all future gameplay and content updates throughout the entire PES 2016 season."
