Forza Horizon 3 Players Will Be Able to Unlock Warthog Without a Code

For fans who might have missed the chance to unlock the Warthog in Forza Horizon 3, Microsoft revealed that a new event will arrive next month which will also unlock the vehicle.

Although the cross platform was revealed last month, only two ways are known to unlock this monstrous ride. Players who have previously spent time with Halo 5: Guardians or Halo: The Master Chief Collection should have already received a code from Microsoft earlier this month to unlock the launch day Warthog for Forza Horizon 3. For fans that haven't played a Halo game just yet on an Xbox or Windows 10 PC platform, there's a different way to unlock it.

Thanks to Microsoft's announcement, it was revealed that fans who are looking to add this car to their garage will be able to do so in October when the first special #Forzathon event begins. These semi-monthly events will be available for a limited amount of time, and give players the chance to take part in various races with the chance to earn some unique rewards such as the Warthog from the Halo franchise. Sadly, Microsoft has not shared further details about a specific start date for the upcoming tournament.

Players who participate in the event will need to make sure they win a game of both King and Flag Rush while driving in an extreme offroad car - such as the buggy. Doing so will not only unlock the '2554 AMG transport Dynamics M12S Warthog CST' for regular use in-game, but players will get the 'Looks More Like a Puma' achievement for their effort as well.

Right now, it's unclear but assumed that Microsoft is going to provide extra opportunities for Forza Horizon 3 players to unlock the vehicle or eventually release it as paid DLC. At this point however, fans who are eagerly looking to put the keys in the ignition to this iconic ride will have to sit tight and wait until the first #Forzathon event arrives to town sometime in October.
