First Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Gameplay Features Iron Man v Mega Man

.....

During the Capcom Cup, Capcom revealed the very first look at Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite's gameplay, as well as a look at the game's new 'Infinity Stone' system.

One of the most exciting reveals at the PlayStation Experience 2016 opening show was of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. Its debut cinematic featured Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Mega-Man and Street Fighter's most familiar character, Ryu, in an outstanding battle. But it wasn't until much later, during the Capcom Cup, when fans got their first taste of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite gameplay. In the new trailer, which provides almost a minute of actual gameplay footage, the same characters from Marvel and Capcom face-off in 2v2 battle.

This is quite the opposite of series' previous entries, in which 3v3 battles were the custom, but fans have mostly accepted the change. The trailer filled with action shows how Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite players can perform combos together seamlessly and bring their partner into the battle with ease. Fans can also have a look at Ryu delivering some devastating strikes to Iron Man's chest, Iron Man blasts Mega-Man with his own chest laser, while Captain Marvel prepares Mega-Man before he gets knocked out with a huge gun set up by Iron Man.

The trailer also gives a look at the Infinity Stone system as Ryu releases a mighty hadouken as his 'Power' Infinity Stone attack and Captain Marvel answers right back with her 'Time' Infinity Stone ability. Players will have the ability to equip various Infinity Stones before a match, granting themselves different abilities and effects. Sadly, Capcom has not yet explained what will be the difference between these powers and what the benefits and drawbacks of them are, but with Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite not having a release date except the 'sometime in 2017' placeholder, there's plenty of time for the Infinity Stone system to be fully detailed.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will launch in 2017 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
