F.E.A.R. Online Coming this October

The free-to-play shooter will be available via Steam on October 17.

Aeria Game's F.E.A.R. Online will launch through Steam for PC on October 17, the game was announced last summer and was developed by Korean studio Inplay Interactive.

Gamers interested in the game will have a chance to play the game ahead of its release, as an open beta offered through the Aeria Games website on October 8. Sign up's for the beta are open right now.

Aeria Games said that F.E.A.R. Online underwent an "extensive redesign," which included various "gameplay adjustments" following the game's closed beta. All of this will make the title a "truly unique first-person shooter game."

F.E.A.R. Online will have ten multiplayer maps and various game modes, one of which is a co-op mode that supports up to four players.

Also the game's minimum and recommended PC system requirements were revealed on the Steam product page.

  • Processor: Pentium IV 3.2GHz
  • Memory: 1 GB RAM
  • Graphics: GeForce 6600GT 512MB
  • Hard Drive: 10 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX Sound Support

  • OS: Windows 7 (32bit/64bit)
  • Processor: Dual Core 2.4 GHz
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM
  • Graphics: GeForce 8600GT 1GB
  • Hard Drive: 10 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX Sound Support
