Destiny's Festival of the Lost Event Returns Next Week

-----------
.....

Destiny's Halloween live event, Festival of the Lost, will launch soon, bringing masks, emotes, shaders, and more for fans to collect for a short amount of time.

Festival of the Lost is making a return, and developer Bungie says it will be bigger and better than ever. Few days ago, a new trailer for Festival of the Lost debuted and a release date was revealed, Festival of the Lost will begin on Tuesday, October 25th and will last for two weeks until November 8th. Most of the items that will be available this year have already been leaked ahead of the trailer, but few of them appear on the trailer. The trailer promises new masks and quests, emotes, shaders, and emblems.

The new ornaments for Bad Juju will also be available. There might also be a few other surprises in store as Bungie teases all that "and more..." will arrive with Festival of the Lost.

Festival of the Lost brings some humor into Destiny. There's a screaming Prince Uldren mask, making fun at his looks in the opening cinematic for The Taken King. There will be Ghost shells that feature a real ghost costume with a sheet hanging over the floating companion including a devil costume complete with horns and tail. There's also going to be a mask from one of the Iron Lords that will serve as the final boss in Rise of Iron's last story mission. The mask even features an axe engulfed in flames that's stuck in the Iron Lord's head.

The trailer also has new visual effects so that fans are able to spot masks better. Similar to the blue flaming skull that fans were after last year (and which ended up being obtainable by purchasing Bags of Candy through Eververse for actual money) it seems like this year will feature a blue flaming wolf mask. Evidently, wolves in this Festival of the Lost are only there because their prominence in the Rise of Iron expansion. As a matter of fact there's also a howling emote.

Destiny: Rise of Iron is currently available on PS4 and Xbox One.
