Destiny Recieves Criticisms That Say it is too Small
-----------Bungie Responds by saying "it's the biggest game we've ever made."
When Destiny beta was released last month, fans immediately criticized developer Bungie over the fact that every planet will only have one location to explore. The studio quickly responded, saying that even though there is only one location they will have a deep scope and breadth of activities, and could even get larger over time through add-on content.
Bungie director of production Jonty Barnes in a new interview addressed the matter saying, "If I'm honest with you, it blew my mind, because it's the biggest game we've ever made. I don't think people understand the depth and amount of gameplay there is in Destiny." He added that people were basing their opinions on the beta version of Destiny, which represents just a slice of what the full game has to offer. "I don't understand how people could have that concern when you think about that and all the different planets we're going to open up and the gameplay we've got there," he said.
"I honestly believe Destiny is a huge game," he said. "I can tell you that through blood and sweat as well. It's been a huge game and undertaking for us. Compared to anything we've done before, if you're going to do a comparison, you're laughing, honestly."
Destiny will launch on September 9 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. Activision said that Destiny for PC is a "natural fit," the game is not confirmed.
