Death Stranding Runs at Native 4K on PS4 Pro

Death Stranding, the first project from Hideo Kojima since his departure from the video company Konami, gets confirmed that it will run at native 4K on PlayStation 4 Pro.

According to Power-Up Gaming, reports say that The Game Awards founder Geoff Keighley corroborated as much when the evening's ceremony finished, as he stated that Death Stranding's graphics will receive a treatment for top-of-the-line visuals on the PlayStation 4 Pro. That being said, fans should expect to soak in extremely high resolutions of the in-game materials for Kojima's next release on Sony's new console, as the characters' likenesses such as the mysterious figure played by Hannibal and Dr. Strange actor Mads Mikkelsen are expected to have incredibly detailed and lifelike presentations.

Taken into consideration Kojima's ability to push the graphical capabilities of consoles to their maximum in order to achieve his sleekly polished and cinematic style, being able to use the power of the PlayStation 4 Pro should allow him to make visuals more dynamic and sophisticated than ever before. In fact, Kojima has already stated that he believes Death Stranding to be his best creation yet.

Even though the use of cutting-edge technology to make Death Stranding look visually beautiful is undoubtedly good news, it's safe to assume that fans are still wondering as to what the game will be all about. At this point, Kojima didn't provide any details as far as the themes and overall story for his upcoming project are concerned, but considering the complicated narratives of his early releases, the indirect approach he takes to explaining the content of his work should be expected by now. Nonetheless, more solid information involving the open world title's plot should become available as the game gets closer to launch.

There's no official release date for Death Stranding right now, but it is expected to launch as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
