Dead Island: Definitive Collection for PS4 Comes With Only One Game On-disc
-----------For an unknown reason, the PS 4 version of Dead Island: Definitive Collection only includes the first Dead Island game on disc.
Fans have long waited for the overly delayed Dead Island 2. The published Deep Silver, decided to hold them off with Dead Island: Definitive Collection for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PS4 owners, however, might get a little annoyed with the way of handling from Deep Silver, as they have only included one of the remastered games on disc, while the others require download codes.
The Xbox One version of Dead Island: Definitive Collection will have the remastered versions Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide on the disc, along with another game which goes by the name Dead Island: Retro Revenge. PS4 users will only have the first Dead Island on the disc and will have to download the rest of the games.
This doesn't look like a that big of a deal to everyone, but gamers with slow internet connections are more than familiar with the struggles of downloading big games. It's not just that, the discrepancy between the PS4 and Xbox One is pretty big too. It remains unclear why Deep Silver made such a decision.
Deep Silver hasn't been the most popular of the publishers as of recently. The decision they made with Dead Island: Definitive Collection for PS4 will only push them over the limit and make them even more unwanted. The company was criticized for removing Yager from Dead Island 2, also for releasing dull games like Homefrond: The Revolution, which had tons of negative reviews.
Deep Silver's decision about the download codes which are forced on PS 4 users is another strange decision in the series of strange decisions they have made recently. This will sure be more than interesting because it will result in a lack of sales for PlayStation 4 over the much bigger number of sales for Xbox One.
