Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy to Release on PC After All

-----------
.....

According to comments made by a representative at PAX East this past weekend, the Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy will probably release for the PC as well as the PlayStation 4.

The Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy was unveiled last year at E3, with a PlayStation 4 release set for this year. Since then, there has been lots of speculation regarding whether the remaster would show up on other platforms, and now there's been a further twist in the tale.

The N Sane Trilogy made its first appearance at PAX East this past weekend, with representatives guiding players through a demo. Now, a video has been revealed on Twitter that seems to suggest that the game will arrive for both the PlayStation 4 and the PC.

"It's 4K on PS4 and PC, at 60 frames per second," said the representative appointed to a row of televisions that are being used to play the game. Although it's certainly possible that the rep might have been misinformed, there have already been some compelling evidence that suggests that the game isn't a PlayStation 4 exclusive.

A month ago, the PlayStation Ireland Twitter account answered a question posted by a fan asking whether the game was an exclusive, stating that it was. Few days later, the account posted another tweet, clarifying that the trilogy would be coming to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro first.

These tweets would've certainly made a lot more sense if Activision was planning to bring the trilogy to PC at a later date. It's easy to see why the publisher might pursue this strategy, even despite the character's history with the PlayStation brand, the trilogy might have a hard time finding an audience if it's a console exclusive, while a PC port would make it much easier for the project to recoup its development costs.

Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy is set to launch for the PlayStation 4 on June 30, 2017.
