Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Will Receive Terminal Map From Modern Warfare 2

-----------
.....

During San Diego Comic-Con, Activision announced that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare pre-orders will include a remake of the Terminal Map from Modern Warfare 2.

With 12 main series games overall, the Call of Duty franchise has featured hundreds of diverse multiplayer maps. Many of these maps have even became popular enough to get remade for future Call of Duty games, such as the many versions of Nuketown, for example.

One of the franchise's most popular maps, Terminal, has also been included in several Call of Duty games, and now it got confirmed for the following entry in the series as well. Activision announced this earlier today at San Diego Comic-Con, during the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare panel. It's also been confirmed that the only way to acquire the Terminal map is by pre-ordering Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, although getting any version of the game will suffice.

Returning players that plan to pre-order Infinite Infinite Warfare will find out that Terminal is not quite the same as they remember. Instead of being set in an airport on Earth, the new Terminal happens on the Moon, and contains spaceships instead of airplanes. Regardless of this major aesthetic difference, the layout of the map should be quite the same, but we'll have to wait and see to be sure.

By taking back a beloved map like Terminal, it looks that Activision is trying to attract Call of Duty veterans that may have lost interest in the franchise. Seems that most fans have lost interest thanks to the next game's futuristic science-fiction setting, which has been accused for Infinite Warfare's announcement trailer becoming one of the most disliked videos on YouTube. Dissatisfied fans may be influenced if Activision is able to appeal to them using nostalgia with the new Terminal Map.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is going to drop on November 4, 2016 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
