Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Beta Servers Experiencing Problems
-----------Lots of gamers are currently facing trouble when trying to get into matches on the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare beta; Activision says it's working on fixing the issues.
Yesterday started off the much awaited beta for the upcoming shooter, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. However, many gamers have been unable to get into matches because of the connection issues plaguing the beta servers.
Activision quickly acknowledged the problems on its Twitter account, letting players know that they're looking into the situation. Since then, it looks like many of the gamers who couldn't enter the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare beta can now access it, but new issues have surfaced in the meantime. Not it appears some players are encountering a problem where the game thinks the beta isn't currently active.
Naturally, Activision is now investigating this second issue and is actively working on a fix. Here's hoping that the publisher will be able to find out what's the problem and offer a solution soon so gamers can play the beta.
It's not the first time for a highly anticipated title beta to experience issues. As a matter of fact, it's because of this very reason that many developers implement these beta tests before the game launches, especially when there are multiplayer features in the game. Given that, the beta is a good marketing tool to invite gamers to try a title and perhaps even fall in love with it, therefore driving them to pre-order, but it's also an important step in testing servers and gameplay mechanics.
Infinite Warfare's beta this weekend is the first of two betas planned for the game and right now it's only available on PlayStation 4. This one started yesterday and is set to run through Monday morning. However, considering the current issues plaguing the beta now in the second day, it's possible Activision will extend the beta to give gamers an opportunity to play the game, especially if they've been facing the previously stated issues. This wouldn't be the first time a game beta encountered such issues, and often when it's happened in the past, developers were anxious to extend the beta.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is scheduled to release on November 4, 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
