Batman: The Telltale Series Has Experienced Issues on PS4 and Xbox One

-----------
.....

Following the issues with Batman: The Telltale Series on PC, the game has developed problems on PS4 and Xbox One too, some of them being resolution problems and serious frame rate drops.

When it came out last week, Telltale's latest project, Batman: The Telltale Series experienced devastating problems on PC. PC players had problems like out of sync sound, stuck cursors and incredibly low frame rates. Even though Telltale released a patch for the game, a lot of players complained that the update didn't solve every problem they had, like broken controller inputs and lag still being there. If something happened, it created more problems, such as the game refusing to load.

The developer said that they will continue to monitor the performance reports and keep working on releasing a Mac version as well, but they now have other problems on their hands, as Batman: The Telltale Series is broken on consoles as well as PC. Digital Foundry, after testing the game's technical performance on PS4 and Xbox One, says that Batman: The Telltale Series runes at 900p on the PS4 and 720p on the Xbox One.

The testers noted that, althouhgh the console resolution split isn't uncommon, Telltale set a new record for the lowest resolution in a game on PlayStation 4 up to date. They would hold the record for lowest resolution on Xbox One but Ark: Survival Evolved is slightly lower, said Digital Foundry.

The lack of effective anti-aliasing on the PS4 leads to jagged edges to a degree that isn't often seen on consoles. The Xbox One version avoids the same issues thanks to a sort of post process anti-aliasing, which results in a softer but cleaner presentation. But, the results are poor when the previous Telltale adventure game is taken into consideration, that delivered a full 1080p on console.

About the problems with the frame rate, Digital Foundry has said that the performance of the game is remarkably low and very inconsistent through the experience, and that the game can get up to 60 FPS but drop to a 15 FPS in a single scene.

Episode one for Telltale's Batman is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
