Batman: Arkham Knight Won't Get Dual-GPU Support
-----------Warner Bros. spoke about the "difficult decision."
The PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight will not support dual-GPU setups, developer Rocksteady confirmed. After many months of investigation with its hardware partners, Rocksteady has chosen to abandon its efforts for SLI and Crossfire support.
A Warner Bros. representative shared more details on the "difficult decision" to abandon dual-GPU support in the game's Steam forums.
"The result was that even the best case estimates for performance improvements turned out to be relatively small given the high risk of creating new issues for all players," it said. "As a result, we've had to make the difficult decision to stop work on further multi-GPU support. We are disappointed that this was not practical and apologize to those who have been waiting for this feature."
This is just the latest setback for Arkham Knight's PC version. Batman: Arkham Knight for PC was launched alongside the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions in June 2015. However after many technical issues Warner Bros. removed the game from sale.
The game was re-released in the end of October 2015, but the problems persisted.
