2016's Battlefield Will be Military Based
-----------EA's CFO has seen the game and it is shaping up to be a "fun, new Battlefield."
The Battlefield game planned for 2016, which was announced last month, will see the franchise return to its military-focused roots which the series is best known for, unlike the cops-and-robbers Battlefield Hardline.
EA CFO Blake Jorgensen made the comment today during the 2014 UBS Global Technology Conference. He said he has already seen the game and it is shaping up to be a "fun, new Battlefield."
"That will be a return to a Battlefield military-style game; more to come on that," he said.
Last month EA's CEO Andrew Wilson explained last month why EA is not annualizing the Battlefield series like Activision has done with Call of Duty, "We want to give Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline players more time to enjoy these games and immerse themselves in a game, the live service, and the community."
The next game in the Battlefield franchise is 2015's Battlefield Hardline.
